International Yoga Day was celebrated at GCS on 19 June 2024, marking a vibrant and refreshing event for students and teachers alike. The celebration featured teachers conducting engaging yoga classes, where they demonstrated basic yoga steps and emphasized the importance of health and wellness through yoga practice. This initiative introduced students to the fundamentals of yoga in an interactive and enjoyable manner, making the event a new and exciting experience for  all children.

Air occupies space and present everywhere even though we can't see it.

Grand opening ceremony of Gurajada Children School (GCS) was held on 08.07.2022 10:30 AM. Chief Guest Shri P. Lahiri, Former Regional Director, BARC, Visakhapatnam did the honours in the presence of Shri T. V. S. Murthy, Project Direcor, BARC (V), Shri M. S. Rao, Convener, School Management Committee, BARC (V), Shri P. K. Mishra, Head, ALWRD, BARC (V) and Shri Sanjay Singh, President, DAE Employees Recreational Club, BARC (V). Shri Rahulnath P. P., Member Secretary, School Management Committee, BARC (V) co-ordinated the organisation of the ceremony.

Registration of students was also done. Total nine (9) students registered on the day. Another 10 more parents have confirmed joining of their wards. It’s a small beginning for a greater goal.

GCS opened for students from 18.07.2022 onwards. On this day, the students were received by Shri M. S. Rao, Convener, School Management Committee and other senior officials of BARC (V).
